FREDRIK SØEGAARD - HASSE POULSEN DUO

Guitars played and treated by all means.

Frederic Søegaard is an unknown master of modern music who has been exploring music for more than thirty years. Using a fractal computer programme to control various effects such as pitchshift or delay-time enables him to create dazzling improvised sound worlds.

With Hasse Poulsen Søegaard makes a continuous improvised music that seems as related to the experimental rock-scene of the 80's as to contemporary composed or improvised musics.

Awesomely big sounds from a guitar duo.                 Wire

a genesis to a bizarre state of being.
the music would be a good backdrop for a documentary on splitting atoms or black hole     stars.                                                       Glenn Astarita

Nous nous trouvons donc, en l’occurrence, devant un authentique travail  de dramaturgie, constamment perceptible et qui, pourtant, nous laisse pantois devant la pertinence et l’archtecture globale de la prestation.                     Joël Pagier

What matters is not how the sound is generated but how it is transformed, shaped, developed, and interwoven with others. Søegaard and Poulson score highly on all these counts ;    Barry Witherspoon
